Good City/Good Opportunity

Good City/Good Opportunity

MEDC helped finance the improvements for Good City Brewing’s 2nd location located at the new Milwaukee Buck’s plaza (Deer District).  Good City Brewing was chosen by the Milwaukee Bucks to be a tenant in their new plaza area.  In addition, MEDC financed the purchase of Good City’s new corporate headquarters, which was formerly known as Century City.  This allowed the company to move their corporate offices from their east side location and to allow for warehousing space which freed up a lot of room which will allow the company to expand their production facility at the east side location

Finney Market

The owner of the Finney Market has converted the former Finney Library into a retail space he hopes will become a destination for Sherman Park and surrounding area residents.  The former library now has three retail tenants that formerly operated out of the Milwaukee Mall, which is currently also being redeveloped.  Phase II of the Finney Market is currently underway, with the remaining space being able to add two more additional tenants.  The building had been vacant since 2003.  The three existing tenants currently employ seven employees.

Midwest Stairs & Iron, Inc. continues to expand it’s business in design, fabrication and installation of metal stairs, railings, balconies and more.  MEDC partnered with Westbury Bank to provide a competitive financing package for a related real estate holding company in order to purchase a third location in the City of Milwaukee for Midwest Stairs & Iron.  The location will allow the company to manage it’s growth in the Milwaukee area market and beyond Wisconsin’s borders.  Midwest Stairs & Iron has over 50 employees and continues to hire qualified individuals.

MEDC assisted in the financing to help Untouchable Auto & Diesel LLC relocated from Richfield to Milwaukee.  The new location allowed the company to be closer to its customer base and their vendors.  The new location also allowed for a more efficient space to operate and to expand their operations.  With the new location the company is able to work on both heavy and light duty trucks, which is not the norm in their industry.
